Salem is a rural, unincorporated stretch of Lee County strung along the US-280 and US-431 corridor between Opelika and Phenix City, with homes spread out on acreage down the numbered Lee Roads and out toward the Beauregard community. That means bigger properties, older farmhouses, and outbuildings that need real repair work, not just cosmetic touch-ups. Wood problems don’t fix themselves - a sticking door, split trim, or a soft spot on the porch only gets worse.
