Upatoi is the eastern edge of Muscogee County, out where Columbus thins into larger lots and wooded properties along the Macon Road (GA-22) and US-80 corridors. It was folded into the city back in 1971, but it still has that semi-rural feel - bigger yards, older farmhouses mixed in with newer homes on acreage. Places like these tend to need practical, hands-on work: siding and soffit repairs, doors that have swelled and stuck, outbuildings and porches that want a carpenter who shows up.
